Normally I would ignore these types of tweets. Usually they are from random accounts trying to drum up attention to gain some followers.

Except this account has over ELEVEN THOUSAND and follows some of the major Japanese journalists and agents and prominent Celtic twitter account, E-Tims.

Twitter account, Marco Molla, tweeted this evening that Kawasaki Frontale left back, Reo Hatate is on the verge of joining Celtic and that a deal will be agreed soon.

Hatate is a Japan international with four caps and is a Japanese League title, National Cup and Super Cup holder.

He signed for Frontale in 2018 and he has entered the last year of his contract.

With his deal ending in June 2022, it seems he could be picked up for a relatively small fee as the Japanese club would not want to lose him for free in the summer.

Not only has the account claimed this deal is close to being agreed, it has also said that the negotiations for Daizen Maeda has advanced to the stage where Celtic are now in official negotiations with Yokohama F Marinos.

This is exciting news for the Celtic fans and it shows that the gaffer, Ange Postecoglou, was serious in his claim that he is already on top of his January signing targets.

With serious reinforcements required in the left back position, it looks like Hatate would step right into the first team which would leave Anthony Ralston and Josip Juranovic in a straight figh for that right back postion.

The January window will be very interesting if this is how organised the club are and we have hardly scratched the surface of November yet!
