Some Celtic fans are keen on the idea of signing Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna after watching him in action against the Hoops and against Rangers this week.

The Dons defender has been in excellent form of late and has helped keep two clean sheets in Glasgow over the last week, first at Celtic Park then at Ibrox.

You’ll remember he was linked with a multi-million pound move to the Hoops last summer, with Celtic said to have had a bid rejected.

The Scotland international has improved more since then and his maturity was on full display during the Scottish Cup encounter against Rangers, keeping his discipline to shut out Alfredo Morelos and the rest of the Gers.

Is there an argument that we should be returning for his services when the upcoming transfer window opens?

Celtic are badly in need of defenders with Dedryck Boyata’s contract up and Filip Benkovic heading back to parent club Leicester City.

These fans like the idea of signing the 22-year-old and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
