Celtic are through to the 5th Round of the Scottish Cup after comfortable disposing of Airdrieonians 3-0 at Celtic Park on Saturday.
The Hoops were well in control of proceedings throughout the 90 minutes and netted goals thanks to a double from Scott Sinclair and a debut effort from Timo Weah.
The ‘treble treble’ is most certainly on and we can now look ahead with confidence to our next five league fixtures.
Sinclair has been criticised extensively this season and after missing not only a penalty but a three-yard sitter yesterday, many had seen enough of the attacker.
However, he rebounded expertly to fire home a double and score his fifth and sixth goals in his last five appearances.
Fans were left delighted, with many feeling the criticism that heads his way is completely over the top for the most part.
These supporters took to Twitter yesterday to discuss his performance…
Scott Sinclair gets given a very harsh time from some celts very early in games but time and time again he comes up with the goods in the end
Never hides and robbed of a good hat trick

Love Scott Sinclair, think he’s our best player at times

Stand up for Scott Sinclair. It would be better if you could praise the good work he does for the team, and the two goals he scored for Celtic tonight, rather than knocking him down for not scoring from the penalty spot.

Scott Sinclair has scored 11 goals in 34 appearences so far this season, including 6 league goals in 12 league starts. Not too shabby for a winger. #CelticFC

So. Back to the game today. Scott Sinclair. You need to watch him when he doesn’t have the ball. Works his tits off and never hides. Tim the Tim Weah. Movement was incredible. He will be an absolute f’ing pest.

Yet again another mistake from the officials denying Scott Sinclair a goal to make it a hat trick. Two goals is still a decent day from him, well done.
