Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing popular Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this summer, according to The Scottish Sun.

The paper say that the German giants have emerged as serious contenders to sign him during the upcoming transfer window and are ready to shell out as much as £25m for the player.

That would make him Celtic’s and Scottish football’s most expensive ever export and would be a fee that would likely soften the blow for Celtic fans, who are desperate for him to stay at the club long-term.

The report also states that Leicester City and Arsenal could be looking at bringing him to the English Premier League, potentially sparking a bidding war for the Scotland international.

Tierney is a committed Celtic man for the moment and at only 21 years of age has plenty of time to make a decision to one day leave Celtic Park.

For now, most fans would love him to stay for the Hoops’ charge towards 10-in-a-row at least, but understand his development as a player and his career in general may benefit hugely from a move to a club in a more challenging league.

Will Borussia Dortmund be that destination?
