Its been an emotional week this week! Scott Brown confirms he is leaving Celtic after fourteen trophy laden years, Roy Keane is reportedly set to become the new Celtic manager and Dermot Desmond held a press conference that actually created more questions than it answered!

Will there be a Sporting/Technical Director? How much money is actually in the kitty for players next season? And if he really is a Celtic supporter, how many games does he attend each season?

I can’t honestly answer those questions but one bit of information I can give you is that after a continuing week where Celtic fans have been given the doomsday scenario of Roy Keane potentially being named as Hoops boss, a brand new favourite has emerged!

Brand new is stretching it but Eddie Howe has now emerged from the ashes as the new favourite to become the next permanent Celtic boss to take over from departed gaffer, Neil Lennon.

Should Eddie Howe replace Neil Lennon?

YES

NO

Howe has been in and around the running for months now but with the furore of the Keane machine and bookies suspending betting on the Republic of Ireland and Manchester United legend, it looked like a foregone conclusion that Keane would be named in the coming weeks.

Sitting at 10/11 (Oddschecker), Howe has overnight, become a dramatic favourite to take the Parkhead hotseat with Keane dropping to a tasty 5/1 just behind interim boss, John Kennedy who can still be punted on at 3/1.

Is there another twist in this tale for the hunt of a new manager? Hopefully it will be concluded soon and Celtic can then start the rebuild required to take the title back from the blue side of Glasgow.
