No panic from Lennon

There won’t be any panic from Celtic manager Neil Lennon despite twice seeing his side waste recent home leads at Parkhead.

“We have to eradicate the stupid mistakes which have been costing us dear if we want to get back on track again” – Neil Lennon

The Bhoys have rather lost ground on the leaders at the top of the table over the past couple of games after both Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United snatched unlikely away draws against them.

But that is unlikely to prompt any significant knee-jerk reaction from their leader, who was instead remaining calm and measured.

“We won`t panic. Anyway, I don`t know if we can change personnel. It is a bit early in the week to say whether we will do that,” Lennon told the Glasgow Evening Times. “We will have to see who is available to us. Hopefully we will get a couple of players back.

“Losing a two-goal lead to draw the game last weekend was poor from our point of view. More than anything, it has an effect on the confidence of the side. Losing stupid goals deflates a side.

“I felt we did okay for the first half against Inverness, but at half-time some of the boys said they didn`t feel comfortable with it so we changed things around,” he added. “It was individual errors which cost us.

“We have to eradicate the stupid mistakes which have been costing us dear if we want to get back on track again. We are giving goals away cheaply now and we have to sort it out quickly.”
