Neil Lennon is running out people who think he should be given the Celtic job this summer after another dour draw in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Lennon has been in charge for nine matches since taking over from Brendan Rodgers in February and although he remains undefeated, serious questions are being raised about the direction of the team under his command.

Three of our last six league games have resulted in 0-0 draws and the perception is we are stumbling towards another league title rather than decisively putting Rangers out of sight.

Creativity is a real problem in the team and Lennon hasn’t been able to figure out a tactic that really exposes opposition teams consistently.

Senior figures at Celtic Park have a massive decision to make come the end of the season, even if the interim boss does go on to win a treble of trophies.

These fans have already had enough, taking to Twitter in the wake of the Easter Road result to share their thoughts on Lennon potentially getting the permanent job…

Do you think Neil Lennon should be given the Celtic job this summer? Have your say in the comments below…

  • Give job to lenny, he is celtic through and through knows whats needed bringing in an outsider would cause to much unease with players new signings champions league qualifiers etc but board must back him financially

  • Giving the job to Neil would be a backwards step. He’s not improved as a manager since his last spell and the football has been turgid.

He’s also not the correct man to be in charge of our summer rebuild. We have a huge opportunity in the summer to build to a specific style and vision and I don’t think Neil and Peter Lawwell have the necessary imagination to carry it out.

  • Lenny has come in as interim boss and done well under extreme pressure! It was always going to be difficult after such success under BR. Lenny IS Celtic through and through but remember so was Tommy Burns (god rest his soul) but how successful was he? We need more than a good guy and a Celtic supporter, we need someone to take the club forward with some new innovative ideas, someone who sees talent and can nurture that talent for Celtic. Let’s banish this idea that we are a feeder club and keep hold of our players to build for future success! Is Lenny capable of this who knows? Personally I like Lenny but I have to say no he hasn’t the ability or personality to be the one we need!
