Sam Wardrop has left the club permanently and is now on the way to Dundee United as the next chapter of his career begins.
A decent young player, it’s evident that he’s perhaps not good enough right now to join our first team and make a real impact.
Indeed, with the good players we’ve got ahead of him that makes sense and so a move to Dundee United should be looked on as a positive.
Certainly, we wish him well and that has been reflected in much of the reaction to the news on Twitter:
Best of luck to @samwardrop1997, who joins @dundeeunitedfc on a two-year deal. https://t.co/aftUtwVnxV

The Verdict
Sometimes these deals are for the best for everyone.
He wasn’t really getting near our team and for a player at his stage in his career, minutes are more than vital.
He’s on his way to Tannadice, then, and we all wish him the best of luck.
