Every Celtic fan knows that Parkhead on a European night is one of, if not THE, best atmosphere’s in world football.

Many professional footballers want to experience it, only a few are lucky enough to.

The noise and the crowd are Celtic’s twelfth man and have made European giants like Barcelona, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester United collapse in the sheer intensity of the Paradise cauldron.

And former World Player of the Year, Golden Boot and World Cup Best Player winner Michael Owen was speaking about it on his Bet Victor sports blog.

The English Premier League and European Super Cup winner experienced the Parkhead atmosphere in 2003 when he visited with his Liverpool side in a 1-1 draw with Celtic at Celtic Park.

In a team full of stars like Steven Gerrard, Emille Heskey, John Arne Riise and Jamie Carragher, Owen was in awe at the fans noise and recalled it in his blog today, “It’s been a tough start for new Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.

“They play nice football but concede far too many goals, as shown in that thriller against Real Betis.

“Celtic Park is one of the best places to play on a European night and this will feel like a huge occasion for those fans. I’m predicting a 1-1 draw.”

Celtic eventually travelled to Liverpool and famously recorded a 2-0 victory at Anfield to knock out the EPL side but Owen will never forget that night at Celtic Park.

Let’s hope the Hoops fans can recreate that famous atmosphere for tomorrow’s visit of Leverkusen to help inspire the team to another famous result and to take another European scalp at Paradise
