Celtic supporters didn’t have much to cheer about watching Brendan Rodgers’ side in action against Hearts on Saturday, but did find positives in the performance of attacker Scott Sinclair.

The 29-year-old’s recent form has been fairly garbage by most fans’ admission, looking well short of the form that made him such a dangerous weapon in his first season at the club.

Despite scoring plenty of goals last term, his performances grew worse and worse as the season went on, with many growing impatient with the player and some even suggesting he should be moved on.

However, he responded to recent criticism with a solid display against Hearts, despite the team losing 1-0.

Hopefully he can start chipping in with goals and assists again, also finding the confidence to take on opponents rather than cutting in from wide areas all the time.

These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Saturday performance…

Can Scott Sinclair ever find the form of his debut season at the Hoops? Let us know by leaving a comment…

  • Bad day at the office. When I saw the team I knew we were not going to win. Too many passengers for me yesterday. Hearts did deserve to win as they one most of the second balls and the last quarter of the game Celtic just started hoofing the ball forward in hope. Don’t just blame the defence, it’s a team game.

    On another note

With the Morelos recinded red card I do feel the SFA have set a very bad precedence

The question is how many deliberate kicks constitute a yellow or red card. Law 12 quite clearly states a player who deliberately kicks or attempts to kick an opponent will be sent off from the field of play.

Lets take this into perspective. Even if Morelos had missed his kick he should still have been sent off. Yesterday Mr Naismith was guilt of two kicks on different players and remained on the field of play. Can we just throw away the Laws of the Game if they are not going to be adhered to. Setting this precedence is certainly going about it.

  • Sevco 2 games 2 sending off’s..They kick opponents all over the park then hit the deck when touched…Wonder if this is gerrards plan for good football..Just wait 2 weeks we will see them for what they are..Rank rotten Celtic will destroy them even with 10 men and we will play by the rules…

  • On Scotty he needs game time not sitting on his arse..Brenden give him and K.T. a good few games together he will be back to his best like yesterday..Rodgers has to give him a free run then keep playing him…Scotty will come good again if he GET’S THE CHANCE..We will win the league no doubt about that we have to keep the same team on every week..They gave us every trophy going trust the players..STOP READING HUN LOVING RAGS we are CELTIC enough said..HAIL HAIL….

    • Totally agree Danny – Sincs needs game time to get his hunger back. He and KT can rebuild a great partnership down the left flank with a sustained run together.
A bad week for us rounded off with a tepid performance but how are you meant to play football when your players are being kicked all over the park. Poor SFA decision to rescind Morelos red card giving the likes of Naismith carte blanche to have a kick or elbow at a real footballer. Hail Hail
