Earlier this season, things weren’t looking too good. Celtic’s form was worse than we’d seen in years, and though we were still competitive, it wasn’t the characteristic dominance that we’ve come to know and love.

That’s all changed now, though, and it’s been quite the turnaround for Brendan Rodgers. Though no true Celtic fan would have thought about moving him on, it’s fair to say that the manager had never been in a more difficult position since moving to Scotland.

However, that’s all changed now – and that proves just how good Brendan Rodgers truly is.

Let’s not forget, he’s won practically everything there is to win since moving to Celtic, and so it would have been easy for him to throw in the towel and give up knowing how successful he’s been. Always a perfectionist, though, he’s refused to do that, and it’s now working out fantastically for him and for us.

He also has managed to turn things around despite all the problems earlier in the season, notably the concerns that he raised over the club’s transfer policy. Instead of moaning about that, though, he’s simply got his head down and worked. It was tough at the start, but it’s all worked out now.

Then you look at individual performances, like that of Ryan Christie, and you see the hallmark of Rodgers again. Christie has really come of age as of late, and though he deserves credit for that, it was Rodgers that put him in at the right time and allowed him to shine.

In truth, he’s done everything right over the last few weeks, and there is truly nobody we’d rather have leading our club.

We’re hoping for another win this weekend, and you’d be hardpressed to find someone that would bet against Rodgers’ men.
