Players come and go, but many of the individuals have that played their trade at Celtic Park have remained in the memory of many a Celtic fan. We’ve had some incredible moments and amazing players over the years, and some will never be forgotten.
One man that’s certainly earned the reputation that he retains today is Tom Boyd. The former defender moved to Celtic back in 1992 from Chelsea, and he went on to make over 300 appearances for the club through an 11 year period.
He was a rock at the back for us, and he was rewarded with a plethora of trophies throughout his reign.

Celtic have seen fit to pay tribute to Boyd, who is now 53-years-old, with a celebratory post over on Twitter. They’re marking the anniversary of his arrival at Celtic, and it’s evident that the club have not forgotten him.
It’s also clear that the Celtic faithful haven’t forgotten him, as loads of fans have taken to Twitter to send messages of support his way. He’s a very popular man, it seems.

Great servant to the club. Even now as an ambassador of Celtic he is a top bloke, never a bad word to say about the club unlike some other ex players.

Somebody at Celtic should’ve been jailed that day for robbing Chelsea. Brilliant signing.
