On Monday afternoon, Celtic were rewarded for their progression in the 2018/19 with a tough two-legged affair against Spanish La Liga side Valencia.
Despite losing on the night to RB Salzburg, we went through to the final 32 on aggregate and nobody is under any illusions as to how tough Valencia will be, especially on their own soil but whilst Celtic have had a bit of a wobble of late, Valencia’s form doesn’t suit their pedigree this year either, as they currently sit in 14th place in their table.

Having faced some tough opposition so far in the competition and having had to dig deep to get some results, it should be looked upon as a challenge and if manager Brendan Rodgers gets his wish and he signs the two strikers he wants to bolster our front line, optimism will only rise further as the New Year ticks around.
