After Sunday’s draw in the Glasgow Derby, the title race is effectively all but over.

With Celtic six points ahead with only three games to go, the Parkhead club are all but champions in name and guaranteed to compete in next seasons Champions League group stages.

But that isn’t what excited former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner.

After he heard Ange’s post match interview on BBC Sportsound, the former stopper was in awe at what the Celtic manager said, “It’s also really interesting. He hasn’t talked too much about where he wants this team to go to.

“He’s talking here about stage one, ‘They’re on the doorstep to success.’

“Success is winning the championship after what happened last year. Getting a League Cup, getting two trophies in the bag. That’s success in the eyes of the Celtic supporters.

“But he’s actually saying he’s on the doorstep to success. So where does he want to go?

“I’m gonna be really interested in what happens in the summer and where where this team needs to go and buy, probably, some players.

“Will he get the money? Will he get that opportunity now? That’s going to be the big question.”

And that is the scary thought.

Ange has been here less than a year. Nine months to be exact.

In that nine months he has successfully qualified for the Europa League group stages, won the league cup, defeated Rangers twice in the derby and went on an unbeaten domestic run of 29 games in the league.

And he has only just gotten started.

Hands up if you can’t wait for next season!
