Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has said it’s important not to get too frustrated by their inconsistent domestic form at Parkhead.

“We just need to be patient and we will have the fans behind us” – Joe Ledley

The Hoops have already lost out to the likes of Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock and been held by second division Arbroath in the Scottish Cup in front of their own supporters this season, despite still enjoying a clear lead at the top of the division.

“It has been difficult at times as we get frustrated with ourselves,” Ledley told Celtic’s official website. “Other teams sit back while we try to attack and break them down and sometimes they have caught us on the counter-attack.

“But we just need to be patient and we will have the fans behind us,” he added. “We need to go out on attack and when that first one goes in hopefully we can continue scoring and get some more.”
