After Celtic win against Real Betis last night in the final match of the Europa League group stages, not many fans would have gave the team much hope of a win when the team lines was released.

Outsiders like Liam Shaw, Scott Bain and Liam Scales all handed rare starts against a team sitting third in La Liga would be enough to give anyone the shivers.

But not Ange Postecoglou.

He was brave enough and showed tremendous faith in those players.

And he was true to his word.

Work hard in training and you will get your chance.

It would have been easy to throw caution to the wind and play your first team from the beginning. No one would have blamed the gaffer to err on the side of caution for fear of another home drubbing like the one we witnessed against Bayer Leverkusen.

But he put faith on his fringe stars and, boy, did they repay that tenfold.

But one man was the target of special praise amongst the Celtic support and that was Osaze Urhogide.

The defender was top class.

Slotting in at right back, Urhogide was relentless bombing up and down that right flank for the Hoops.

Great defensively and even better in the tackle, the Celtic support were loving the look of the young defender and took to twitter to show their appreciation.

There is no doubt we have a player on our hands here and it will be really exciting to see how he develops under Ange Postecoglou.

I’d like to know how EVERYONE supposedly saw that injury coming to kyogo tonight, was it merely because our other strikers are out injured ,so really it was fate that done for kyogo nothing to do with Ange putting him on.we just seem to be having a bad spell of injuries at the present time, did EVERYONE see Jota,Forrest Ajeti, giakomakis being injured,no it’s just unlucky or maybe something to do with Celtics medical staff or fitness training methods because we do seem to carry a lot of injuries,we get one player back and 2 get injured but you can’t blame Ange for that.

In hindsight it’s a strange call why not young Henderson then Kyogo but the manager makes the call and I for one can’t query his judgement seeing how far we’ve come on.
