Celtic fans have called on Brendan Rodgers to hand Lewis Morgan his first start in green and white since making his move from St Mirren this summer.

Morgan has made two appearances for the Hoops so far, against Alashkert at the start of the season and against Kilmarnock on Sunday.

In between those showings he suffered an injury setback that ensured he missed the rest of the qualifying campaign and start of the Scottish Premiership season.

It appears that supporters have seen enough to want him to feature more though, perhaps believing he can add the attacking spark that has been so lacking in the team of late.

Last season at the Buddies he scored 18 goals and created 13 assists, showing he can produce the goods on a consistent basis, albeit at a lower level in the Scottish Championship.

On Sunday he definitely brightened the Hoops up in the last 25 minutes of the match, looking eager to have a big impact in the final third.

A massive 93% of respondents to a poll we published yesterday believe he should start Wednesday night’s Scottish League Cup match away to St Johnstone.

Will Rodgers now give him the game time he needs to impress?
