According to Estadio Deportivo, Antonio Barragan would prefer to stay with Real Betis for at least one more season before moving to Celtic or anywhere else.
The Hoops have not had the busiest of windows so far this summer but there is still time for them to get in some good players to be ready for the challenges the coming months are going to throw up.
However, it seems as though Barragan’s decision is going to leave Celtic missing out on getting his signature on paper this summer.
Indeed, it’s thought that the defender would rather stay where he is with Real Betis, as they look to challenge for the European spots in La Liga.
Betis have signed the likes of Nabil Fekir this summer and are looking ambitious so you can see why he might want to stay, whilst it’s a shame we’re not going to get him because of the top-level experience he has got.
