According to VG in Norway, Mohamed Elyounoussi turned down offers from both Leeds United and Middlesbrough before signing for Celtic from Southampton on loan last week.

The winger has joined the Bhoys and has taken the number 27 shirt and he’ll be eager to get going after the international break.

Indeed, he endured a bit of a tough time whilst with the Saints and didn’t play a great deal so he now has the chance to try and get some regular minutes and re-launch his career.

He’s chosen to do that with us, too, and it looks as though he has decided to come to us over playing for both Middlesbrough and Leeds United.

The Championship can be a big pull for some players but getting to play in Europe and win trophies should not be turned down and he has now got that chance.

Fair play to him, let’s hope he is now a success for us.
