Mikey Johnston has timed his return to first-team action perfectly with the injury of Mohamed Elyounoussi likely to keep him out of contention for the Betfred League Cup final on Sunday against city rivals Rangers, Neil Lennon backing Johnston to make an impact if called upon according to The Daily Record.

With two goals in two games against Rennes and Ross County, both coming off the bench, showing that Johnston has lost none of his sharpness, Celtic fans are excited about the youngster’s return.
