According to a report in The Daily Record, Celtic are bracing themselves for a Premier League offer for full-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Southampton are the club said to be interested in the 19-year-old who has been a revelation since his £350k signing from Manchester City in the summer, quickly establishing himself as the number one right-back, Scott Brown going as far as to say that when he leaves his price tag may eclipse the £25m of Kieran Tierney.
The Dutch under-21 international has been in the news recently after criticising the refereeing performance in the Hoops Scottish Cup victory over Partick Thistle then narrowly avoiding a bad injury against Kilmarnock despite a horrendous tackle from Alan Power.
Should Celtic entertain offers for Jeremie Frimpong?
Yes
No
Fans of the Parkhead side took to Twitter in response to the rumours and believe they are the result of city rivals, Rangers, having a bad day at the office on Sunday – needless to say it isn’t a story that they are taking seriously.
