As quoted by Sky Sports, pundit Charlie Nicholas has offered his view on Celtic’s clash with CFR Cluj on Thursday night as we head into another Europa League game.

The Bhoys have started the season in Europe well. Of course, we wanted to be in the Champions League but we are where we are and we’ve started with a good point away from home against Rennes.

It’s not time to get a win and build on that with our first home game of the group stage, and it’s familiar foes Cluj that we face so we know we’re in for a good test.

However, Celtic Park will be rocking and baying for revenge from the Champions League qualifier and Nicholas feels as though that will play a part in deciding the result.

He said:

“Celtic gained a very good point at Rennes and could have come away with more. The crowd at Celtic Park gives the players another five to 10 per cent and that’s what will be the case here. It will not be a rollover, it will be tight but think Celtic will just edge it – it could be late on when the goals come.”

I don’t care when the goals come, as long as they come. It’s a game we need to win, too, if we want to make the knockouts.
