There has been many, many names bartered around for the position of Celtic manager next season. The bookies have installed surprising favourites to land the job if current gaffer Neil Lennon does eventually get shown the door at the end of the season. But not one person or bookie has even dared to suggest what Mark Guidi did on tonight’s episode of Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.

Guidi make a prediction, or shall we say conjured a scenario, in which he believed that current under pressure manager, Neil Lennon, could get the nod to keep his job after the season has ended. Speaking frankly on the show, Guidi stated, “I just want to say something out loud that all Celtic fans will think but is there a scenario, I think Celtic have got 10 league games to go this is game number 29 tonight.  If Neil Lennon goes unbeaten and say for example that the two games against Rangers, lets say he gets a win and a draw.

Should Neil Lennon be Celtic manager next season?

YES

NO

“Is there a scenario where Neil Lennon does keep his job next season and then is still the Celtic manager?  I don’t think we can rule out for a number of reasons I think it’s a possibility that Neil Lennon can keep his job.”

Guidi didn’t elaborate on the “number of reasons” whereby Lennon could possibly remain in the position, but Celtic fans could think of 10 reasons as the league slips away and I am pretty sure the board could think of over 30 million reasons with the shambolic European campaign this season.
