Celtic got their UEFA Europa League campaign back on track tonight with a massive 2-1 win over Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig at Celtic Park.
On a night of light shows, glitz and glamour, it was the hard working performances of the Hoops’ Scottish core that shone brightest in Paradise with the likes of Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney and James Forrest all wowing supporters.
Forrest in particular was an excellent attacking threat throughout his time on the pitch. His hard work in a defensive sense was notable too. There’s arguably not a harder worker in Brendan Rodgers’ entire squad right now.
The win puts Celtic on six points in the group with two winnable games to come away to Rosenborg and at home to RB Salzburg. European football after Christmas is looking achievable.
