Celtic got back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night, opening up distance between themselves and title contenders at the top of the table.
Three points against St Mirren were hugely important given the defeat to Rangers before the winter break and Brendan Rodgers’ side didn’t disappoint, blowing away our Paisley visitors 4-0.
On a night that Rangers lost to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, it was a superb result.
The performance matched the margin of victory too, with the Hoops in control throughout the 90 minutes and showing the kind of intensity that could only please supporters.
One player who particularly impressed was Oliver Burke, who was again trusted to play through the middle as a central striker after his debut against Airdrie at the weekend.
He netted a double and delighted fans with his all-round performance, linking up very well with players like Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and James Forrest.
