Quoted by Football Insider, former Celtic man Jackie McNamara has suggested that recent arrival Nick Hammond is popular with the club right now.
Hammond was at the club on a temporary basis and helped sign players in the summer window and it seems as though the work he did then obviously went down well.
Indeed, he has since been given the permanent role and, according to McNamara, it’s a good appointment for all involved.
“He seems to be very popular, he looks like he’s done a good job with the players he brought in over the summer, they signed some good players.”
Hammond is Head of Football Operations and has a big job on his hands but he knows the club and the processes already and so there is no reason why he shouldn’t be a hit at Paradise during his stay.
With the title race looking tight, getting player recruitment right is a big task this season and he is bound to be eager to sign some players that can make the difference in the January window.
