According to the Daily Mail, via Football Scotland, Celtic have rejected a move from Leicester to try and sign Callum McGregor and will continue to do so – though they have not got to worry this summer now.

The Foxes have got Brendan Rodgers in charge, of course, and it should be no surprise to see him looking at some of our players.

Certainly, McGregor is the kind of midfielder I could see translating into the Premier League and doing well but, for now, that will not be happening.

The Bhoys apparently told the English side that under no circumstances would the midfielder be going and so for the imminent future we are going to be able to keep him at the club.

Whether or not they come back in January remains to be seen, though, and that is something that we’ll have to consider when the time comes around.

For now, though, we can relax.
