It’s not been a great start to the league. As home performances picked up after the opening away defeat to Hearts back in August, those 6-0 romping’s of St Mirren and Dundee gave the Celtic fans optimism that the rebuild may just not take as long as first thought.

But injuries to key players like Kyogo, Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor have exposed the squads shocking lack of depth and options when it comes to turning around poor performances.

But even at that, the team that turned out at Livingston should still have had enough in their locker to see of the bottom club with ease.

Former Celtic defender, Alan Stubbs, reckons that it is not personnel that is causing the Hoops problems, it is Postecoglou’s playing style and he likened it to ex Rangers manager Mark Warburton.

Speaking to the Scottish press, Stubbs said,  “Celtic don’t have the balance right between attacking and defending at the moment.

“In fact, they are at their weakest and their most vulnerable when they are on the front foot, because a turnover can quickly put them under pressure.

“This is a problem which really needs to be resolved as soon  as possible.

“Ange insists this is the way he will always play, but that reminds me of Mark Warburton when he was at Rangers.

“Warburton infamously said, ‘Plan B is to do Plan A better’, but that didn’t work out for him and Postecoglou needs to show some flexibility now.

“You need to be able to change things around when games aren’t going your way.”

Postecoglou’s opening six league games record is worrying.

As it stands, he is seven points WORSE off than last years start under Neil Lennon but MORE worrying former Celtic gaffers Lou Macari, John Barnes and Liam Brady have all had better starts to their Celtic careers than Ange.

Results need to turn. And fast.
