In the space of one day we have had two transfer stories break.

Vasilis Barkas’ move to Sheffield United breaking down and Lee O’Connor’s move to Tranmere are the first of what now seems to be an exodus of Celtic players leaving Paradise.

With Liam Shaw already farmed out to Motherwell, it seems that the next name on the list to find himself a loan move from Celtic is summer signing Osaze Urhoghide.

The big defender impressed in his first team debut against Real Betis in the final Europa League match but has since failed to break into Ange Postecoglou’s first team.

The 20 year old has a long way to go as he seems far down the pecking order behind the likes of Starfelt, Carter Vickers, Welsh and Julien (when he returns from injury) and it seems a loan move is the best option for the bulky stopper to get some much needed game time.

Reports have surfaced today [The Scotsman] that a raft of clubs are after his services but most notably KV Oostende and Serie A cracks Verona.

Urhoghide would be wise to note the improvement of former Celt Jack Hendry who eventually got his big move to Brugges after a season long stint at Oostende due to the club giving him some much needed first team action.

And whilst the club are in no mood for Osaze to leave the club permanently, it does seem his chances of breaking into the Juliper League side are greater which would make them more appealing.
