According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic will not now be signing Paddy McNair this summer with the Bhoys deciding against a move for the versatile Middlesbrough man.
The 24-year-old has a few clubs in England already on his CV.
He was a kid at Manchester United but only made a handful of appearances for them before moving on to Sunderland – where relegation was suffered.
However, he moved to Middlesbrough last summer but never really forced his way into their side either last season with Tony Pulis’ team offering up some pretty drab stuff at times.
Celtic are apparently no longer going to pursue him either, and so it remains to be seen who else they look to sign in the window this summer.
Things finally got underway as the weekend drew in last week and hopefully there will be more where that came from in July.
McNair, though, looks an unlikely arrival.
