The summer window might have been a slow-burner for Celtic so far but we are getting there and I do think by the time the thing shuts we will be ready for another season.

The Hoops have got a decent squad but a number of changes have come into play and we must get them addressed before anything else.

We’re getting there, though, with a few decent signings so far and it appears we do have the cash available if we are going to add to our squad.

According to Football Scotland, we have £38m sitting in our account ready to be used, whilst they also allege player sales could mean that we don’t even need to dip into that.

Even without such sales, though, it is clear that the Hoops have got a bit of money to play with for the rest of the summer and hopefully we can use that wisely in the coming weeks.

  • George that £38M was sitting in the accounts before the £9M payout for Rodgers and his coaching team, £3M for winning the league, £5M for the Europa run plus at least £5M gate money not to mention a very tidy but undisclosed fee for the stadium being used for the Guinness Pro14 final there would be deductions of course but a well run club in a rude state of health.
