Celtic have European football back on the agenda later this week as we take on CFR Cluj in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Romanian side are familiar to us after they knocked us out of Champions League qualifying and so we may feel as though we have some payback to offer them going into this one.
It’s surely unlikely that Scott Sinclair is going to feature, though, with him continuing to struggle for first-team minutes under Neil Lennon.
And, as per Football Insider, it seems as though the winger is crying out for Lennon to show some kind of sensitivity towards his situation.
They claim a source has told them the following:
“Scott is a sensitive figure who needs to be loved by his manager.
“He’s a player who wants an arm around his shoulder now and again, and told how good he can be.
“Brendan Rodgers knew that and was brilliant at coaxing the best from him. Basically, he’s begging for Lennon to manage him properly, as he sees it.
“That’s just the way some players are. If he’s managed well and looked after, Scott can be an outstanding player.”
It’s certainly fair to say that Sinclair needs that sort of manager that is constantly praising him and I think we saw under Brendan what could happen if he got that.
Lennon’s not really that type, though, and it remains to be seen how this all pans out.
