It’s been a quiet transfer window for Celtic so far and you can only hope that a real flurry of signings are going to be made in the final months of the transfer window.

The Hoops have not been quick off of the mark again in this market and it does make for real frustration as we cannot afford to keep being so sluggish.

It seems, too, that we have given up on the chase for Romaine Sawyers as the midfielder attracts plenty of interest from England at the moment.

Indeed, according to Football Insider the midfielder is wanted by the likes of Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion and Celtic have therefore accepted that he is likely to remain in England.

It’s a shame; personally I would have liked to have seen him stay put, but it is clear that we are perhaps going to move on here without getting too involved from now on.
