This is a story that as come out of left field.

With Celtic now focused on getting players out rather than in, many fans will be expecting moves for the likes of Vasilis Barkas, Boli Boligoli and Albian Ajeti.

Three players that arrived for huge fees but have contributed largely nothing to the overall cause over the last season and a half.

But a report in The Athletic has tipped a move for a name that no one expected.

Phil Hay and John Muller wrote a report on players who would be the perfect fit for English Premier League outfit, Leeds United, based on the teams tactics, player strengths and strengths that would suit the Elland Road teams style of play.

And based on that information, they see David Turnbull as a player that would be an ideal fit for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Citing his goalscoring ability and his ability to play in the attacking areas of the oppositions park, the journalists believe that Turnbull’s attributes coupled with him being affordable for the Premier League outfit make the Scottish midfielder an ideal candidate to join the EPL club.

Celtic fans, and Ange Postecoglou would be loathe to any advances for a player that they see as one of the midfield key men at Parkhead and would hope that any advances for the talented midfielder would be spurned by the club.
