Celtic will be going into the international break happy enough with the start that they have made to the season.
Of course, we wanted to be in the Champions League but we have at least got ourselves Europa League football to look forward to this season.
And, indeed, we’re top of the league after beating Rangers on Sunday so it’s not been that bad a start to the season at all.
One hope for the final play before the international break, meanwhile, was that we’d end the transfer window with the signing of Victor Wanyama but such talk appears to have been quashed by Alan Nixon on Twitter.
Somebody at another club asked about Wanyama yesterday … and were told he was due to go to Belgium. ???? https://t.co/wuQYy2K5QC

Indeed, in an exchange with a fan it would appear that the midfielder is going to be playing in Belgium if not at Tottenham this season.
He was excellent during his time at Celtic Park and earned a move to Southampton where he kicked on.
Any return now looks unlikely, too.
