Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna has been linked with a move to Celtic recently and the majority of fans would like to see it happen.

The Scottish Sun reported last weekend that the Hoops were considering a bid to take him to Celtic Park this summer, with teams like Swansea City also said to be interested, although a bid from the Welsh didn’t materialise before their transfer window shut.

Although Brendan Rodgers’ side have avoided losingĀ  Dedryck Boyata to the English Premier League, they are still in need of a defensive signing to provide competition at the back, with fans growing increasingly impatient with players like Jack Hendry.

Scott McKenna may be just 21-years-old, younger than Hendry, and lacking in top-tier experience but it appears many fans would like to sign him anyway.

A majority 64% of respondents to a poll we posted earlier this week believe the club should make a move for the player.

Will Celtic table a firm offer for the Scotland international in the closing stages of the transfer window?
