Celtic fans are not eager to see Dedryck Boyata back in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team despite the manager admitting that he could feature again in the Hoops soon.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the defender returning to training at Lennoxtown on Monday after a dramatic couple of weeks that initially seemed to suggest he had played his last game for the club.
After apparently refusing to play in the AEK Athens tie, he was demoted to training with the development squad at the weekend while the first-team made the trip to Firhill to play Partick Thistle.
It all comes after both the player and his agent dragged Celtic through the press with regards to a potential move away, after the club rejected a bid from Fulham for his services.
With less than a year left on his contract, decisions are still to be made whether he will be here for the season.
Celtic fans have had enough of him clearly, with 76% of respondents to a poll we published at the weekend believing that he shouldn’t play for the side again.
