Our game against Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday is going to be huge for the Hoops, and we’re desperately hoping for a fantastic night.

Heading into the game, Brendan Rodgers has shared his feelings, and it’s fair to say that he’s very happy with his team at present.

As per the official Celtic Twitter, he said: “I’m happy we’ve arrived at this game in the position we’re in. Our destiny is with us, and if we play at the level we’ve been playing at, we’ve got a chance to make it into the last 32”.

It hasn’t been a faultless campaign for the Hoops, but make no mistake, we’re in a very good position. We aren’t relying on anyone else. The simple fact of the matter is if we’re at our best, we’ll be in the draw for the next round.

Of course, the reality isn’t quite that simple, but still, Rodgers has a lot to be proud about. We’ve bounced back from what was a difficult start to the tournament and the season, and we’re now doing well.

If his team get the result they’re craving on Thursday, it could be huge for us in the context of the season as we look to build on our performances every week.

Thoughts?
