We won again over the weekend, but now our attention must shift away from the league, if only for a moment. We’re set to take on Rosenborg in the Europa League on Thursday in a game that we should really be looking to win.

Though it won’t be an easy fixture, it’s perhaps our most winnable game, and given how tough the group has been so far, that means that we must come back to Celtic Park with three points.

Speaking ahead of the game, Brendan Rodgers clearly believes as though we’re coming into the game at the perfect time.

As per the official Celtic Twitter, he said: “The team’s coming into these games in a really high moment”.

Rodgers added: “Performance level, confidence, goals, defensive solidity…We arrive into the game in a really good way”.

Certainly, we’re in our best moment of the season at present. We’re winning, we’re scoring, and so many individuals are in fantastic moments of form. In truth, everything is going right, and the same could not be said a few months ago.

Fortunately, our excellent run in the league does mean that we’re able to, at the very least, turn our attention away from that for a moment. It’s important that we impress in all competitions, and the Europa League is no exception.

A big performance could help give us a huge boost heading into the League Cup final. Rodgers is confident, and so are we.
