The wagons are circling today as the fallout from the Green Brigade banner continues. With Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon already having their say, now it is the turn of Celtic captain Scott Brown.

Brown believes the digital age where people look for attention and likes on social media is partly to blame for todays “protest” banner from a section of the Celtic fans.

But Brown is firm in his stance that Lennon and the backroom staff have the backing of the players and he understands the importance of this ten in a row season and praises Lennon management and how he has treated the players during his time as boss.

“I think that’s what you get in this day and age. It’s all about social media and getting a picture for Instagram or Twitter,” Brown said ahead of the trip to face Sparta Prague.

“We’ve got 100 per cent faith in the manager, he’s been fantastic with us.

“The support we’ve had through Nine In A Row has been incredible, so just stick with us and make sure we’re all together.

“We’re pushing for something special. Everyone in that changing room is working extremely hard to try and get better on the park.

“We know the performances haven’t been up to scratch and now is the time that we need to fix this.

“We need to make sure that we’re fixing this extremely quickly because the manager and the backroom staff are working extremely hard.

“We need to make sure we do exactly the same.”

The Celtic skipper has been an ever present and involved in the Celtic side throughout the nine in a row era and has been instrumental in creating history during the Treble Treble season.
