Celtic fans weren’t best pleased watching today’s Scottish Premiership clash between Hamilton Accies and Rangers, after referee Andrew Dallas awarded two penalties to the away side in the final ten minutes of the match.
With Steven Gerrard’s side toiling at 1-1 in the 80th minute, two soft penalties followed, allowing James Tavernier to bang in penalties that handed the Ibrox side three points.
It was a victory that they desperately needed having not won away in the league so far this season and it appears the SFA’s man has handed them a get-out-of-jail-free card.
A draw would have put serious pressure on Gerrard and raised further questions about his ability to produce performances away from Ibrox in domestic action.
Thankfully it appears that Celtic are again motoring and ready to push forward in the league. Hopefully though dodgy decisions don’t continue to have a big say on how points are decided over the coming months.
Hoops fans were left fuming at Dallas and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Andrew Dallas couldn’t wait to blow that whistle for the penalty. The refereeing in Scotland really needs to be reviewed . #shocking #amateurish

Andrew Dallas, I mean what else can you expect from this bigot in the black, his father will be proud of him.

It’s like a throwback to the 90’s, when Andrew Dallas’s dad secured many results with the granting of late penalties to the original Rangers
