‘Should never be allowed’ – Many Celtic fans are fuming with authority decision ahead of title game

|

Celtic fans aren’t happy John Beaton has been announced as referee for our upcoming match away to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Neil Lennon’s side travel to Pittodrie this weekend knowing a point will be enough to win an eighth league title in a row.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, John Beaton hasn’t officiated a Hoops match since his disastrous display at Ibrox earlier in the season during which he failed to send off Alfredo Morelos for a number of incidents.

It was a refereeing performance so bad that it prompted a furious response from the club itself in a strongly worded statement.

Now he’s returning for one of our biggest games of the season and many are not happy at all, feeling the timing is no coincidence.

There’ll certainly be a lot of pressure on the whistler’s shoulders during the encounter, but hopefully he can show he is better than that day at Ibrox and the ref the game fairly and competently.

These fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the appointment…
