Here we go again. Another transfer ‘specialist’ trying to hawk our players to inferior teams in the English Premier League.

I’m sorry, but Southampton is inferior. They are sitting bottom of the league, in real danger of being relegated, and we are to believe that one of our players would seriously consider moving there and give up guaranteed Champions League football, trophies and if he continues his development the way he is going, a move to a more illustrious club.

Abada has been a revelation since joining Celtic last summer.

In 85 appearances for the club, the young Israeli has scored 25 times and created 16 goals. [Transfermarkt]

And Ekrem Konur has stirred it up on Twitter with an update that has seen this form continue the links to struggling Southampton.

Now, I get it. I see the appeal of joining Southampton. Many ex-Celtic stars have left us to go and join them and then use The Saints to get a move to a bigger club.

The perfect examples are Virgil van Dijk and Fraser Forster.

But the difference is that Southampton was established in the league and not fighting for their lives.

This move, if it ever happened, is not the right one for Abada, especially at this point in his career.

He would be best served to continue his development under Ange Postecoglou, winning trophies and then see where that takes him.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfer additions in these seasons?

Bhoy would be crazy to leave us 60000 crowds every game, adored by fans, always in Europe great chance of winning cups and leagues. Why give all that up for relegation 25000 crowds

  • Tam says:

This is someone pretending to know what Southampton and CELTIC are thinking.

If it happens he will say,see told you so.
If it doesn’t he will say NOTHING.

Speculation on his part that’s all this is if he wants to speculate go to the stock market
