Most Celtic fans agree that pulling off a result tonight is going to take some sort of Herculean task from the Bhoys.

The only problem is, one of our players that remotely resembles the Greek mythological God in terms of physique is missing from the line up due to injury.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is one of those players that would be pivotal to Celtic having any chance of pulling off a shock result and with the bulky defender missing, our chances diminish even more of getting anything from the match.

But a Spanish journalist reckons the Hoops have a small chance of getting something tonight.

Speaking to PLZ Football, Manuel de Juan said, “Well, it’s kind of a tricky match because it comes from two matches that Real Madrid didn’t win, which doesn’t happen often.

“So I think because Real Madrid needs to win to ensure first place in the group stage.

“So I think that these two things combined will live a good Real Madrid version [team selection], but with the injuries that Real Madrid has, there are some major injuries.

“So I expect  Real Madrid will be superior to Celtic, but Celtic will probably have a little chance.

When asked what we can expect from the Real Madrid crowd compared to Celtic Park, de Juan said, “Well, Real Madrid is not Celtic Park. It’s colder. But tomorrow if Celtic scores first, it is going to become special because Real Madrid needs to win.

“So if Celtic scores first then you will see the European atmosphere in the Bernabeu.”

Score first then? Seems easy enough.

Away to the Champions of Europe with the most skilful players in the world whilst we are missing CCV and our most creative player in Jota starts on the bench.

We can live in hope that this could turn into a famous European night.

More in hope, than expectation anyway.
