Celtic fans are celebrating progression into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup after a superb 2-0 win away to Hibernian on Saturday evening.
With the pressure huge on Neil Lennon’s side after the departure of Brendan Rodgers this week, the Hoops managed to up their game in the second half of the encounter and net two tremendous goals through James Forrest and Scott Brown.
Nobody really expected to pick up two wins from two in Edinburgh after Rodgers’ walkout on Tuesday, but Lennon and his backroom staff have pulled it off.
One of the big performers in both matches has been Israeli midfielder Nir Bitton, who is getting his first sustained run in the team since a debilitating injury that kept him out for the majority of 2018.
He is keeping the Hoops ticking over in the middle of the park and while he may not be the most ambitious or attacking midfielder, he has been a brilliant under the radar performer.
These fans are loving his performances, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Saturday display…
Special mention to Nir Bitton btw. He’s been outstanding since he’s came back from injury.

BTW hats off to Bitton. Hasn't looked like a guy who's been out for ages in his first few games back.

That's a very good performance and as comfortable as we've been at Easter road in a coupla years.
2 tremendous goals to secure a deserved win.
Bitton, although can be ponderous at times, does offer plenty and has been refreshing seeing how good a player he is.

Big credit to Lenny and JK for the changes in the second half. Thought Hibs were quite poor, no aggression from them, but we played really well. Big Bitton put a shift in, excellent passer of the ball, Just needs people that can help out with the physical side around him

Bitton was excellent today, brilliant to see him looking sharp again. Offers us something different in the middle of the park.
