Celtic striker Mo Bangura said his goal in the 2-1 friendly win against Steaua Bucharest has really boosted his confidence.
“I need to score goals as this gives me confidence” – Mo Bangura |
Bangura finally claimed his first senior strike for the club after a very frustrating eighteen months when heading in Kris Commons’ second-half cross in Marbella.
That follows the 23-year-old previously returning to former club AIK during the first half of last season in order to help him rediscover his goal-touch.
“I don’t know even know how to explain myself as I feel really great and happy,” he told Celtic’s official website. “I have to say thanks to everyone – my team-mates and the coaches who have given me a chance, as this what I need.
‘Hopefully, I will get some more,” he added. “I need to score goals as this gives me confidence and now I need to play more games.”
