Leaders Celtic can make history when travelling to St Johnstone for an early kick-off on Saturday afternoon (12.30pm).

The visitors will break a 100-year-old British and club record sequence of 62 domestic games unbeaten should they once again avoid defeat.

However, they are without defensive trio Erik Sviatchenko, Jozo Simunovic and Anthony Ralston, in addition to on loan Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

“The record is not something we sit and worry about,” assistant manager Chris Davies told BBC Scotland. “When you’re doing it you don’t think about it. It’s just been a consequence of the great work for the players and the manager leading everyone forward.”

Saints are missing Chris Millar after pulling up in training while Murray Davidson, Stefan Scougall and Michael O’Halloran are also injury concerns.

Defender Brian Easton is still awaiting the results of a recent knee scan.
