Celtic fans on Twitter have given mixed feelings on Kristoffer Ajer’s potentially big-money move to Leicester City.

According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 61, November 3, 2019), the Foxes are lining up a £20million move for the Norwegian next summer.

Former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers knows the skill and potential of the 21-year-old well, having handed the player his Bhoys debut as a substitute in 2016 following his move from Norwegian side Start.

Indeed, Ajer appears to have become a key figure at the back for us since being handed that opportunity, as the Scandanavian enforcer has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Bhoys over the last three seasons, with 23 of those outings having already come this season (per TransferMarkt).

The 21-year-old has partnered Christopher Jullien so far for Neil Lennon this season, as they look to tighten up the backline, however he has not been without his criticism in regards to recent performances, with some fans having been vocal about their frustrations surrounding the centre-back in their win against Hibernian at the weekend.

Perhaps, it is not completely surprising to see that supporters on Twitter would not mind seeing the player leave Parkhead in the transfer window, with some arguing that the high fee would be welcomed.

Many of them appear to want Filip Benkovic to make a return to Glasgow should a deal happen, which could be a good thing as he was excellent in the 27 appearances he made for us last season whilst on loan. A move for the Croatia international could very much be on the cards as well, as Football Insider have reported he would be open to a January switch.

Here are just some of their reactions on Twitter…
