Tunisian striker Lassad remains up for the challenge of proving himself at Celtic Park.

“I think I play better when I start a game” – Lassad

The 27-year-old forward has to date struck three times in fifteen games for the Scottish champions despite many of those appearances coming off the bench.

He also faces plenty of competition for a regular starting place in their side whilst up against the likes of leading marksman Gary Hooper, Georgios Samaras, Kris Commons and the rapidly emerging Tony Watt.

“I’m happy that I’ve scored the goals I have but there have not been enough,” Lassad told Celtic’s official website. “It is only three goals. I’ve started seven league games but I’ve come off the bench almost as many times.

“I think I play better when I start a game and I have time to settle into it,” he added. “I need more time to do this and maybe then I’ll start scoring more goals.”
