Celtic striker Gary Hooper is being linked as a possible target for recently-appointed Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Anfield club are currently down to Uruguayan international Luis Suarez being their only available option in attack after former Swansea City forward Fabio Borini broke his foot whilst playing for the Italian Under-21 side earlier this week.

The Reds recently released England striker Andy Carroll out on a season-long loan to West Ham United.

Latest reports are suggesting that Celtic’s talks with 24-year-old Hooper over a new deal have rather stalled of late.

Hooper has scored more than fifty goals for the champions since arriving at the club just over two years ago.
